Sandra passed away peacefully with her family by her side at her residence on Tuesday, June 11, 2024 at the age of 87. She was born on May 3, 1937 to the late William and Clara (King) Wagner in Bay City, Michigan. She was a lifelong member of St. Paul Lutheran Church of Frankenlust and was involved in the Choir, Ladies aide and the funeral committee. Sandra was an avid reader and enjoyed, cooking, canning, crocheting and knitting. She loved golfing with her husband and bowling on the Sunday night church league. She enjoyed spending time at the cabin on Secord Lake. She loved her family and was kind hearted and truly loved by so many.
Sandra is survived by her husband of over 67 years, John Gillespie; children, William (Peggy) Gillespie, Timothy Gillespie, Denise (Rick) Dubay and Susan Gillespie (Michael Ulbricht); grandchildren, Jackie (Jeff) Sporte, Angela (Michael) Schmidt, Nina (Dan) Nussear, Kevin (Allie) Przytula, Jeremy Przytula, Sean (Ashly) Gillespie, Kyle (Brooklyn) Gillespie, Evan Ulbricht and Mikayla Ulbricht; 17 great grandchildren; sister-in-law’s, Kay Wagner, Shirley Gillespie, Corky Gillespie and Bonnie Gillespie; brother-in-law’s, Jim (Lou) Gillespie and Robert Gillespie and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandson, David Przytula II; brother, James Wagner; brother-in-law’s, Carl Gillespie, Paul Gillespie and Ray Gillespie and sister-in-law’s, Gloria (Dick) Misiak, Charlotte (Ron) Wanless and Margie Gillespie
Funeral Service for Sandra will take place on Monday, June 17, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church of Frankenlust with cremation to follow. A private inurnment will take place at a later date at St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery. Officiating will be Pastor Dennis Matyas. The family will be present to receive visitors at the Church on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a memorial contribution to the Wishes of the Family.
