Sandra Marie Hayes

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Sandra Marie Hayes, aged 80, of Tavares, FL, who left this world on November 3, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family. Born on May 31, 1945, in Binghamton NY, Sandra dedicated her life to being a caregiver as a loving Daughter, Wife, Mother, Grandmother, and Great Grandmother.
She also took care of countless others in her various volunteer roles, from Class Mom to Woman's Shelter advocate. She also served in her capacity as a Licensed Nurse.
Sandra was best known for her cooking in both skill and amount. Sandra had the loving ability to bring her extended family and friends together through food. A devout Christian, Sandra enjoyed Bible studies, women's groups, and her time in the church. She was an exemplary seamstress, who loved making dresses for her granddaughters. She also enjoyed crocheting, reading, and gardening.
She is survived by her daughters Heidi Smith and Heather Lea Luna, four granddaughters and great granddaughters. She is predeceased by her husband Donald Hayes of 60 years.
A Memorial Service will be held at the Beyers Funeral Home at 1123 West Main Street. Leesburg, Florida 34748 on November 30th, 2025 at 1pm. A private interment will be held later when Sandra will be laid to rest with her husband at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell.
