Sandra Kaye Hibbs

Sandra Kaye Hibbs, known as Sandy Kaye, Mama, and Grandmother, to her loved ones, of Russellville, Kentucky passed away on Thursday, November 13, 2025 at Elkton Nursing and Rehab in Elkton, Kentucky. She was born in Lewisburg, Kentucky on June 17, 1945 to the late William "Billy" Adler and Loleta Shemwell Adler. Sandra lived 80 years full of laughter, energy, and boldness. Sandra was first and foremost a loving mother and grandmother. Her greatest joy came from spending time with her family. Her desserts were highly anticipated at every gathering, especially her homemade pies and cakes. She was always smart as a whip and after getting her children grown, she went to college to expand her knowledge of accounting. People trusted her for her accuracy and efficiency. She loved summer and her love for nurturing was evident in her multiple flower gardens and her beautiful koi pond, which she took great pride in. Sandra will be remembered for how great she was as a mother, grandmother, and friend she was. Her spirit will live on in the memories and stories shared by those who knew and loved her. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband James "Sonny" Hibbs, a daughter Tammy Steele and grandson Eli Jessup and granddaughter Mary Elizabeth Jessup. She is survived by:

Funeral Services for Sandra Kaye Hibbs will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Sunday, November 16, 2025 at Summers and Son Funeral Home with Bro. Calvin Naylor officiating with burial to follow in Maple Grove Cemetery. Visitation at the funeral home Sunday will be held from 11:00 am until the service hour of 2:00 pm.
