Sandra Hicks Obituary
Sandra “Sandy” Louise Hicks, age 83, passed away on Monday, June 23, 2025.
The youngest child of Jesse and Helen White, Sandy was born February 9, 1942, in Merriam, Kansas. She graduated from Rosedale High School in Kansas City, Kansas in 1960. On May 1, 1963, Sandy married Louie Riedl and was blessed with two children, Jenny and Katy, before his untimely passing in 1980.
She entered the workforce to support her family and was employed with the American Academy of Family Physicians for over 15 years as a layout artist for their publications. She enjoyed playing cards and watching the Chiefs, but mostly spending time with her family.
Sandy is survived by her two daughters, Jenny Riedl, Odessa, and Katy (Brian) Zoller, Lake Tapawingo. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Friends of the Friendless.
