Sandra Kay Hosey, 77, of Medina, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, Feb. 15, 2026, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Sandy was born on Aug. 20, 1948, in Webster Springs, WV to Ira Lance and Ruby Gay (Wyne) Gregory and was a 1966 graduate of Medina High School. On June 29, 1983, she married Carl E. Hosey, and he survives. Sandy had worked as an independent provider for 22 years for Adults with Disabilities. She had been a longtime member of the Medina Moose Lodge and had enjoyed golfing, cooking and holiday gatherings with her family. She loved spoiling her family with their favorite dishes, and she made everyone always feel special and loved.
Surviving is her husband, Carl, children, Ken Krochmal and his wife Kim Metz, Angela and her husband Jerry Sude, Shaun Krochmal, Robin Hosey and Michael Hosey; her five grandchildren, Nicole Ellison, Dennis Krochmal, Tyler Krochmal, Calista Krochmal and Katie Krochaml and her brother, Tommy Gregory, who she was his caregiver for many years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters, Connie Green, Tiny Gross and Sharon Carver and her brother, Conner Gregory.
Sandy will be place at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery on Thursday, Feb. 19th at 10:45 a.m. There will be no calling hours.
