Sandra H. Janroga

Sandra H. Janroga, 78, of Salt Lake City, UT, formerly of Youngstown, passed away Friday, Dec. 5, 2025, at the George E. Wahlen VA Medical Center in Salt Lake City. Born April 18, 1947, in Latrobe, she was the daughter of the late Stanley and Rose (Husarik) Janroga. Sandra was a graduate of Greater Latrobe Senior High School and Penn State University. She then served her country in the United States Air Force for four years in South Korea, followed by three years in Germany with the Army, reaching the rank of captain. Throughout the years, she enjoyed spending time outdoors, skiing, hiking, or camping. Sandra loved animals, especially dogs, and would seek older or unwanted dogs from shelters and rescues, providing them love and a good life. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Joseph and Stanley Janroga. Sandra is survived by two sisters, Maggie Jan and Roseann Hyman; and several nieces and nephews. Family and friends will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 15, 2025, at LOPATICH-BRINKER FUNERAL HOME LLC, 601 Weldon St., Latrobe. Military services will be conducted at 4 p.m. on Monday in the funeral home by the Latrobe Derry Veterans Honor Guard. Private interment will be at Westmoreland County Memorial Park, Greensburg.
