Sandra Johnson Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Moles Farewell Tributes & Crematory – Bayview Chapel on Jan. 12, 2026.
Sandra Jennine Johnson, lovingly known as Sandi, passed away leaving behind a legacy of

kindness, joy, and deep love for family and children.

Sandra was born at Fort Worden Army Base in Port Townsend, Washington. She grew up in

Bellingham and Ferndale, Washington, and graduated from Ferndale High School. After

high school, she attended cosmetology school, a path that reflected her creativity and care

for others. She especially enjoyed braiding and styling her nieces' hair and dressing them

up for JC Penney photo shoots-moments filled with laughter and love that her family will

always cherish.

Throughout her working years, Sandra lived and worked in Washington, Idaho, and Arizona,

forming many lifelong friendships along the way. In retirement, she returned to Washington,

remaining close to the people and places she loved most.

Sandra will be remembered for her great smile and shy giggling at silly jokes. She had a

gentle spirit and a creative heart, loving to sew and make doll clothes for her nieces and for

friends' children. She had a special gift with children and delighted in activities that

included them; many felt she would have made a wonderful daycare teacher or

kindergarten aide.

Music was another passion of Sandra's life. She enjoyed playing the piano and singing, with

"O Happy Day" among her favorite songs. Her faith was important to her, and she found joy

in attending and participating in activities at her church.

Sandra is remembered as kind, loving, and joyful. Above all else, her family will remember

her unwavering love for children and for those closest to her.

She is survived by her twin brother, Tom Johnson of Arizona; her sister, Phyllis Smith of

California; four nieces, two nephews, and numerous grand-nieces and grand-nephews, all

of whom she adored. She was preceded in death by her mother, Eura M. Davis, and her

younger sister, Jeanne Rogers.

A family gathering in celebration of Sandra's life will be held in Arizona in the spring of 2026.

Her gentle spirit and loving heart will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who

knew her.
