INSTRUCTIONS TO NEWSPAPERS:
Sandra Gwynne Jostes, 81 of Herrick died Monday, July 8, 2024 at her residence in Herrick with family by her side. Cremation Rites have been accorded, and a Graveside Service will be held Saturday, July 27, 2024 at 11:00 AM in Myers Cemetery, Herrick Township, Shelby County, Illinois with Pastor Ken Fookes from Longview, Texas officiating.
Sandra Gwynne Jostes was born December 1, 1942 in Sebring, Florida the daughter of Thomas Jefferson and Frances L. (maiden name Stanley) Bebee. She graduated Argenta High School with the Class of 1960. Sandra Gwynne Bebee married William "Bill" Jostes on September 5, 1961; they divorced after 25 years of marriage, and he died February 27, 2021. Sandra worked as a dispatcher for Yellow Freight, from which she retired in 1990 and continued to work for several years after in transportation.
Sandra Gwynne Jostes is survived by her Daughters: Suzi Temmen (Phillip) of Oconee and Aaron Allison (Shawn) of Herrick; 4 Grandchildren: Jory Nash, Jesse Temmen, Hayley Stokes, and Jacob Allison; 9 Great-Grandchildren; Siblings: Thomas Bebee; Rita Stovall (Marvin) of Cleveland, Texas; Charles Bebee (Sheila) of Dry Prong, Louisiana; and Cheryl Vaughan (Gary) of Sachse, Texas. She is preceded in death by her Parents, Previous Husband, and Brothers: Kenneth Bebee, Ray Bebee, and James "Tim" Bebee.

I remember meeting Sandy when she and my uncle Bill were married. She was only a few years older than me so, I looked forward to visiting with her when family got together. Later after the daughters were born we shared good memories with my daughters. I am sure she will be greatly missed by Susie and Aaron.
