Sandra “Joyce” Manning, age 69 of Morristown, TN, went home to be with the Lord on September 9, 2024 at Morristown Hamblen Healthcare. She is preceded in death by her husband, Charles Manning, father, Claude “Buddy” Alder, and father and mother-in-law, Fred and Louise Manning. She was saved at an early age in 1964 at Gaps Chapel Baptist Church and in 1971 she moved her membership to Thankful Missionary Baptist Church in Morristown. She is survived by her son, Justin (Metina) Manning, mother, Ruth Alder, brothers, Rev. Dennis (Judy) Alder, Rev. Darrell (Susie) Alder, and Rev. David (Denay) Alder, and several nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, and a host of other family and friends. The family wishes to thank the CCU and 4th floor nurses at Morristown Hamblen Healthcare. Funeral services will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 12, 2024 at Thankful Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Dennis Alder, Rev. Darrell Alder, Rev. David Alder, and Rev. Barry Warren officiating. Graveside interment service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, September 13, 2024 at Hamblen Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Thursday prior to the funeral service at the church.
