Sandra K. Kemp, 75, of Grand Valley, entered her heavenly home on Friday, November 7, 2025, after passing away at St. Vincent Hospital in Erie. Her family would like to express their gratitude to the staff at both Titusville and St. Vincent Hospitals for their efforts and comforting kindness during her final day.
Sandi was born in Titusville on September 6, 1950, to Alfred and Pauline Dean Ongley. She was a graduate of Youngsville High School, Class of 1968. She married her loving husband of 57 years, Richard Kemp on August 3, 1968, at Excelsior Church.
Sandi was actively involved in the church throughout her life, at Excelsior Church, Midway Alliance, and most recently Spartansburg Alliance. With her life-long love of music she praised the Lord through playing the piano and singing in the choir. She also served in various roles in the church including Sunday school teacher and church treasurer. Sandi was actively involved in additional service to others. She volunteered in various roles for both Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts for numerous years and as a chaperone for school band trips.
Sandi was a homemaker until her children were grown and out of the home. She then entered the workforce, again choosing a service-oriented role. She worked as a home health care aide and then as a nursing home administrator for Compassionate Home Care. She greatly enjoyed the years she spent doing this work.
Sandi is survived by her husband Richard of Grand Valley; her mother, Pauline Ongley of Grand Valley; her three children, Vincent Kemp and wife Debra of Pleasantville, Kristina Renninger and husband Timothy of Spartansburg, and Stephanie Mraz of Corry; grandchildren, Shayln Wyant and husband Robert of New York, Kyra Kemp and fiancé Jared Vinopal of Titusville, Morgan Kemp and companion Richard Hoyt of Pleasantville, Lindsey Baldwin and husband Joe of Pleasantville, Angela Renninger and husband Sean Evanick of Pittsburgh, Aimee Renninger of Pittsburgh, and Michael Mraz of Corry; great-grandchildren Jonah Wyant, Luna Coyle, Lincoln, Lennon, and Jensen Vinopal, Salem Hoyt, Hudson, Athena, and Elsie Baldwin. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren brought her great joy. She greatly enjoyed the annual family outings and trips over the years.
She is also survived by her siblings, Sue Ongley of Pleasantville, Judy Paulich and husband John of Pleasantville, Gayle Beers and husband Randy of Grand Valley; brothers-in-laws and sisters-in-law, Sheila Hoover of Florida, Dean Kemp of Corry, James Kemp of Spartansburg, Clark Kemp and wife Vicky of Centerville, Cindy Inman and husband Dave of Florida, Jeff Kemp of Titusville, Leonard Kemp and wife Barb of Pleasantville, Jacie Ongley of Pleasantville, Judi Ongley of Pleasantville; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Alfred Ongley, her siblings, Kathy Slocum, Alan Ongley, and James Ongley.
Visitation will be held at the Gordon B. Garrett Funeral Home Inc., 303 N. Washington St., Titusville, on Tuesday, November 11th, from 4 to 7 p.m. A funeral service will be conducted on Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the Midway Alliance Church 6330 Oil Creek Rd. Spartansburg with Pastor Ken Dunkerley, officiating.
Interment will be at Trim Corners Cemetery.
