Sally Ann Spence Provencher, 68, of Titusville, passed away on November 1, 2025, at Meadville Medical Center after a long battle with cancer.
Sally was born on October 6, 1957, in Oil City, PA to William D. and Anna (Mika) Spence. She married Roland Provencher on September 12, 2009. He preceded her in death on January 7, 2013.
She was a graduate of Titusville High School, Class of 1975. While in school, she attended Vo-Tech to learn computers and was instrumental in starting the Rifle Club.
After graduation, Sally enlisted in the United States Air Force and served for 8 years. While serving, she earned her degree in computer science from Regis College in Colorado Springs, CO.
She had a distinguished career as a Government Contractor in computer systems security, determined to prove wrong those who doubted a woman could excel in the field.
Sally retired in 2023 as the Director of IT Security for L3/Harris in Fairfax County, VA.
She loved cats and kept several as pets over the years. For the past few years, she was a dedicated caretaker for her mother. She was generous with her family and took pleasure in seeing them succeed.
Sally is survived by her mother, Anna of Pleasantville; siblings Stan Spence (Cindy Crytzer) of Mercer and his two daughters, Emily Spence and Laura (Matt) Brincefield and great niece Angeline; Joe Spence of Pleasantville, and his two children and step daughter, Sophia Spence, Jack Spence and Bethany (Nick) King; and sister-in-law, Robin Spence of North Tonawanda, New York, and her two children, Heather Spence and Jonathan (Nicole) Spence; and her great niece and nephew, Sarah and Dylan Spence; a half-sister Marylee Dorian of Florida, her brother in law, Donald Provencher and wife Gretchen of Virginia, and sister-in-law Jackie Provencher of Maine.
She was preceded in death by her father, William D. Spence, and her brother Mark Spence.
Visitation will be held at the Gordon B. Garrett Funeral Home Inc. 303 N. Washington St. Titusville on Sunday, November 9th at 2 to 4 p.m. with a funeral service conducted immediately following.
