Alice C. Neves

Alice C. Neves, 102, of Franklin, MA, formerly of Somerset, MA, wife of the late Walter F. Neves, passed away on Sunday, November 2, 2025.

Born in Fall River, Massachusetts, she was the daughter of the late Dr. Joseph Costa Carvalho and the late Adeline (Cavaco) Carvalho.

Alice was a graduate of the former SHA in Fall River and Regis College in Weston, MA. She was a member of Holy Name Church, and the Women's Board of Charlton Memorial Hospital; volunteering there for many years. Alice also loved spending her summers along the water at Baker's Beach, playing piano and killing it on the tennis court. During her 10 years living at Clifton Assisted Living, she made wonderful friends and enjoyed a full and active life into her 100th year.

She leaves her loving children, June Kingston and her longtime companion, Paul Kelly, of Stuart, FL and Fall River MA and Ann Walsh (late husband David Walsh Jr.) of Franklin, MA; her two grandchildren Dr. David I. Walsh of Boston and Vanessa Walsh and her fiancé Fady Beshay of Franklin, MA; her great-grandson, Colton Beshay of Franklin, MA; and several nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Dr. John Carvalho, Mary T. Carvalho and Beatrice Carrellas.

Her Funeral will be held on Thursday, November 6, 2025 at 9:00 AM from the Silva-Faria Funeral Home, 730 Bedford St., Fall River, with a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated in Holy Name Church at 10:00 AM. Her visitation will also take place on Thursday morning, November 6, 2025 in the Silva-Faria Funeral Home from 8:30-9:30 AM. Committal and Interment in Notre Dame Cemetery.
