Sandra Elaine Hebble Lortscher of Richford, NY passed away suddenly but peacefully on Friday, April 2, 2021 at the age of 81. She was born on January 22, 1940 in Cincinnatus, NY to Earl and Winifred Hebble. In addition to raising 5 children, Sandra worked at Fay's Drugs and Challenge Industries for many years. She was a hard worker who did whatever job was necessary to provide for her family. Sandra spent her life traveling between New York and central Georgia. Family was very important to her, so she went where they went. But no matter where she was living, her love for beautiful plants and flower gardens always made the place feel like home. Sandra enjoyed cooking and canning, and made some of the best applesauce and strawberry-rhubarb pie you've ever tasted. She also loved to crochet, and created countless beautiful afghans and crafts for her family and friends. Sandra was infamous for her sharp comments, but there was always a twinkle in her eye that gave her away as a softie. Her life was filled with many challenges, yet she never failed to persevere. She was loved by many and will be missed by all.
Sandra was preceded in death by her parents, sisters Shirley Marvin and Deanna Driscoll, brother Robert Hebble, companion Robert Lortscher, former husband Rubin Lee Everidge Sr., and son-in-law Donald Hunt Sr. She is survived by her brother Richard (Vicky) Hebble of Crystal River, FL; children Rubin (Kim) Everidge II of Forsyth, GA, David (Gail) Everidge of Richford, Becky Hunt (Steve) Kelley of Macon, GA, James (Robin) Everidge of Richford, and Christopher (Rebecca) Everidge of Ellaville, GA; grandchildren Rubin (Suzy) Everidge III, Sonya (David) Barbee, Jeremy Everidge, Donny (Ansley) Hunt Jr., Sarajane (Nicholas) Bankston, Joshua (Shaina) Everidge, Cassy (Tom) Allmond, Lisa Everidge, Shelby Everidge, Mandon (Chrissy) Couch, Nikkita (Jesse) Couch, Guthrie (Tim) Newman, 15 great-grandchildren, and many additional family and friends. Special mention for Sandra's best friend Sandy Rupert, and niece Vickie Chamberlain.
A celebration of Sandra's life will be held on Memorial Day (5/31/2021) at 2pm at Rawley Park in Richford. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made on Sandra's behalf to Shriners Hospitals for Children (www.shrinershospitalsforchildren.org) and the National Multiple Sclerosis Society
(www.nationalmssociety.org). MacPherson Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. Memories and condolences may be written in her guestbook at macphersonfh.com
