A Celebration of Life for Mrs. Sandra "Sandy" Carroll Macie will be held on Monday, May 12, 2025 at 3:00 PM in the Chapel of Griffin Funeral Home, 911 Warren Drive, West Monroe, LA. Family will accept friends for visitation from 1:00PM-3:00 PM at the funeral home.
Sandra Carroll Macie, affectionately known as Sandy to all who knew her, passed away on May 7, 2025, at the age of 51.
Sandy's journey began on March 17, 1974, the beloved daughter of Edna Minor and Johnny Carroll. Known for her loving nature, Sandy filled every room with laughter and warmth. Her selflessness shone through in every aspect of her life, making her a cherished presence in the lives that she touched.
Sandy's dedication to her family was paramount. She is survived by her husband, Matthew Allen Macie, and her children, Justin Sikes and his wife Hannah Thomisee, Alyssa Roush, and Miranda Roush, and her son, Scottie Roush, and his wife Judith Jacobs. Sandy's world was brightened by the joys of being a grandmother to four wonderful grandchildren, and she was the beloved sister to Scott Spencer, Michael Spencer, and J.C. Carroll and his wife Maggie Carroll.
Sandy was preceded in death by her stepfather, Louis Minor, sister-in-law, Kathy Spencer, and nephew, Zachary Spencer.
Professionally, Sandy was recognized as the best general manager Denny's had ever seen, with her commitment shaping the establishment's success. Whether she was soaking up the sun by the pool, indulging in her love for Disney channel, or mastering the digital world as a Slotomania Pro, Sandy was happiest surrounded by her cherished stuffed animals and enveloped in the excited chatter of her grandkids.
Sandy's legacy will be carried in the stories of laughter, her nurturing spirit, and the countless lives she touched. She will be remembered for being the embodiment of love, the source of countless smiles, and a woman who gave endlessly, without expecting anything in return.
