Sandra Diane Malmberg, 80, passed away on Thursday, November 7, 2024, in a local care center.
Mrs. Malmberg was a native of Jacksonville, daughter to the late Charles R. Turner and Vera L. Holland Turner and a graduate of Andrew Jackson Sr. High School. She loved spending time with her family and friends, eating out and shopping and was a long-time active member of First Baptist Church of Jacksonville until covid hit.
Mrs. Malmberg is survived by her husband of 62 years: Harold Glen Malmberg; daughter: Lisa Sparks and her husband, Randy; 6 grandchildren, Chad Appling and his wife, Amber, Garrett Sparks, Austin Sparks, Miranda Malmberg, Abby Sparks, and Destinee Hardy and her husband, John. Eight surviving great grandchildren, Michael Appling, Caden Appling, Landon Dockery, Leia Sparks, Stella Appling, Colton Hardy, Isabelle Sparks, Marianna Hardy. She was pre-deceased by a son, Mark G. Malmberg and great grandson, Lydon Dockery. Other surviving family members are Sandra's sister, Becky Connell and her husband, Danny and niece, Kelly Johns and great nephew, Noah Johns and great niece, Mackennah Johns.
A memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM on Tuesday, November 12, 2024, in the Event Center at Peeples, 14165 N. Main Street.
Her family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the funeral home prior to the service.
Peeples Family Funeral Home is serving the Malmberg Family.
