Born: March 5, 1942 in Philadelphia, PA
Died: September 28, 2025 in Dixon, IL
Sandra A. McKune, age 83, of Dixon passed away on Sunday, September 28, 2025, at Liberty Court in Dixon. She was born on March 5, 1942, in Philadelphia, PA, the daughter of Richard and Rose (Kolber) Farley. Sandra worked in Special Education as a teacher's aide at Dixon Public Schools for 25 years prior to her retirement. She volunteered at the Dixon Public Library Children's Dept, the Leydig Center Toy Dept, and KSB Hospital. Sandra married Michael McKune on July 3, 1965, in Philadelphia. He preceded her in death on March 13, 2012. She loved Dixon from the moment Mike brought her here. We thank everyone in Dixon for reciprocating that affection. She is also preceded in death by her daughter Kathleen A. Sarver. Sandra is survived by her granddaughters Kaylin (Collin) Newman of Dixon, Calianne Sarver of Dixon, and one sister Judith Farley of Washington DC. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Friday Oct. 3, 2025, at 10:00 AM at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Dixon. Burial will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Dixon. Visitation will be on Thursday Oct. 2, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM with a Scripture Service at 7:30 PM at the Jones Funeral Home in Dixon. Arrangements by the Jones Funeral Home in Dixon. Condolences can be left at www.thejonesfh.com.
