Sandra Lee McLellan

Sandra Lee McLellan, 90, of Attica was a cherished soul whose life was marked by love, creativity, and devotion to her family, passed away peacefully on November 4, 2025, in Lapeer, Michigan. She was born on August 4, 1935, in Pontiac, Michigan. Sandra's journey through life was one of joy, family, and an unwavering commitment to those she held dear.
Sandra grew up in Attica, Michigan and was the daughter of Douglas and Maxine (Dickerson) Russell. Her early years were shared with her siblings, Pete Russell and Patty Fuller. Sandra's life was enriched when she met the love of her life, Donald McLellan, at the Pontiac roller rink. The two were married on February 20, 1954, in Attica, Michigan, and together they built a life filled with laughter, love, and deep affection for one another.
The loving matriarch of her large and vibrant family, Sandra is survived by her devoted husband of 71 years, Donald; and their children: David (Penny) McLellan, Michael McLellan, Kevin (Janine Matas) McLellan, Kim McLellan and Melissa (Randy) Roberts. Her legacy continues through her grandchildren: Brandie, Candy, Meghan, Austin, Chad, Noelle, Heather, Heidi, Chelsea, and Ansley; and her nine great-grandchildren, four great-great grandchildren, and her sister-in-law Deb (Chuck) Gossel. She was also preceded in death by her parents, her siblings, brother-in-law Robert "Bob" Fuller, parents-in-law Floyd and Ruth McLellan, and her daughter-in-law Tammy McLellan.
Sandra was a proud lifetime member of the Michigan Eastern Stars. A talented and passionate seamstress, there was little she couldn't create. She found great joy in sewing for her family, friends, and especially her beloved grandchildren. Sandra also cherished her hobbies of genealogy and photography, which allowed her to explore her family's history and capture the beauty of life's special moments.
After retirement, Sandra and Donald loved traveling together. They spent countless days exploring the Southwest, discovering new places and sharing a love of antiquing. Those travels created treasured memories that they will always hold close.
Described as quiet, loving, and creative, Sandra's gentle presence brought comfort and inspiration to everyone around her. Her patient ear, her gifted hands, and her generous spirit were constants in the lives she touched. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
