In Loving Memory of Sandra Lee Mervine

1963 - 2025

Sandra Lee Mervine passed away on November 16, 2025, in Saginaw, TX at the age of 62. Born on February 20, 1963, in Brooklawn, NJ, Sandra was a positive force wherever she went. She was a markedly independent, caring, and empathetic woman.
Coming from a family of five, she was never one to shy away from people. Anywhere she lived, she was sure to meet and get to know those around her not out of obligation, but because she was interested in everyone's life. Everyone had a story to tell and she wanted to hear them all.
Aside from people, she loved animals and cared for every one she met as if they were her own. Her heart was open to any animal, even if they were misunderstood by everyone else. She had an uncanny ability to see the good in those around her.
For most of her career, she worked as a physical therapist doing home health. She aided those most in need and did everything she could to be the best at it. Often her clients were so impressed with her that they invited her back and remained friends long after their care was finished.
She had a profound love for the outdoors. She loved traveling, kayaking, hiking, and generally discovering what was out in the world. Everywhere and everyone had something new for her to experience and she always had room to welcome those experiences into her heart.
Sandra is survived by: her two children Strider (and spouse Monica) and Morgan (Randy); her father Dan; her first granddaughter Lucia; her sister Debbie (Bruce); her brothers, Dan (Tavia), Donald (Shirley), John (Karin); her nieces and nephews Jennifer (Hilario), BJ (Kimy), Daniel, Samuel, Annika, Theresa, Joseph, Shayna and Scott; and her many friends. She loved all these people with everything she had and she will always and forever be missed. May her kindness and love live on through us all.
