Sandra Lynn Morton, affectionately known as 'Sandy', peacefully passed away on May 4, 2025 at the age of 71. She was born in Detroit, MI on October 7, 1953 to the late Charles and Connie Davis and accepted Christ at an early age.
Sandra attended Mumford High School and successfully earned her diploma in 1971. Following high school, Sandy graduated from Michigan State University on June 11,1978 with her bachelor's degree in Physical Science, and a minor in Mathematics Education. While pursuing her degrees she met the love of her life Harrison Lee Morton. They were joined in holy matrimony for 42 years and through their union her beloved son, Justin Morton, was born. After graduating from Michigan State University, Sandy was employed as a Union Service Representative with the Michigan Education Association for 34 years until her retirement.
Sandy was a very hard-working person that believed in fairness and accountability. She had an innate ability to read people and assess situations very quickly with remarkable accuracy. She also understood the importance of providing people with opportunities that would have a lasting impact on their lives. One of her core beliefs was that with discipline and hard work, you can achieve any goal, as long as you're willing to pay the price.
In addition to her parents Sandy was preceded in death by her husband Harrison Lee Morton.
She leaves to cherish her memories: Justin Morton (Son), Carlton Davis (Brother), Edith Jones (Sister), and Jeffrey Davis (Brother).
