Sandra Jean Nettles

Sandra Jean Nettles, passed away on December 14, 2025, at the age of 73 in Lakeland, Florida. Born on August 20, 1952, in Dade City, Florida, Sandra was a cherished daughter to the late Jack and Mary Beazley. Her life was a testament to the power of love, a journey she shared with her devoted husband of 56 years, James Nettles.
Sandra was devoted to her family. She was the loving mother of her late son, Jerry James Nettles, and was a steady and loving presence to her godchildren, Anthony and Casey Bryant. She is survived by her brother-in-laws, Jimmy Watson and Joe Kellum; her sister-in-law, Cathy Croker; her nephew, John Wayne Watson; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her sisters Jaqueline Watson, Cheryl Ann and Sue Ann, her brother, Bobby Allen Brooke, and nephews, Jimmy Jack Watson and Gerald Frank Watson.
Sandra was a member of Bethel Baptist Church, where she nurtured her faith. Her love for fishing was more than a hobby; it was a reflection of her patience and ability to find peace and joy in life's simple pleasures. She also cherished time at the beach, where the sound of the waves and the beauty of the shore brought her comfort and happiness. Those who knew Sandra will remember her as a loving and faith-filled soul, whose kindness touched the hearts of many.
As we bid farewell to Sandra Jean Nettles, we celebrate a life beautifully lived and a spirit that will continue to shine brightly in the memories of those she loved. Sandra's journey on earth may have come to a close, but her story of love and faith will be told for generations to come.
Friends and family will be received on Friday, December 19th, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. A funeral service will follow at 1:00 PM at Lanier Funeral and Cremation Services, 717 Griffin Road Lakeland, FL 33805. Burial will follow at Bethel Baptist Cemetery in Lakeland, FL.
