I will always remember her big laugh and smile that went with it. Hard to think of her as gone but she is now with our pain. We just have the pain in our hearts for not having her with us. However, she is in our hearts. We will not forget you. Love to you. Jan Judy-March

Was sorry to hear of Sandra' passing. She was a guardian angel to me and all the BHS softball girls she drove to all the games. She was loved and respected by all the girls and coaches. We will surely miss her upbeat smile and words of encouragement after winning or losing. She is now doing her angelic services for God in her heavenly. May the family find comfort in knowing that she is with the Lord in heaven. May God greatly bless each and ever family member.

So sorry for your great loss. May God give you all comfort as you grieve. Hold tight to all the good memories you have of your life with her. As a cousin who was raised and lived with her parents, I, too, have many memories of Sandra. We often commented that we were more like sisters than cousins. I know she loved her family very much and was a wonderful person. Much love to all her family.

Many hearts grieve for a dear woman named Sandra; meaning helper of mankind. Truly, Sandy will always be remembered as the first to lend a hand, to offer support, to give advice, or simply listen with a nod and a kind smile.
I will always cherish the memories of time spent singing with Sandy in the Pine Chapel Baptist Church Choir, the many after church socials, the gospel sings, and WMU missions projects. Later, when she started driving the yellow bus, I searched for her at football games...I just wanted, and needed to hug her neck and tell her how very thankful I was that she had been there for me and my family through very difficult times...that I appreciated her and the influence she had on my life. There have been many occasions that I have chased a bus down on Mercury Boulevard hoping to catch a glimpse of dear Sandy.
I know heaven is celebrating, the angels are singing, Elizabeth Ross, Edna Lee, Irene, and Bobby Whiteed have welcomed Sandy into the most glorious of choirs! Sing your heart out Sandy! We love you and will miss you deeply...
My thoughts and prayers are with you Don, Brenda, Billy, and Ronnie...may you feel God's peace and comfort.

Our deepest sympathy to Don and family. Sandy was a special person who gave much to others and will be greatly missed. She treated the seniors at Pine Chapel Baptist Church like parents. She and Don did more than drive the bus. They met needs when they became aware of them. I am eternally grateful for their ministry. My Mom will be happy to reunite in heaven.

You and Don are very near and dear to the entire ROSS FAMILY. You were a living inspiration to everyone. Go rest high on that mountain and we will see you again one day.

Hampton City Public Schools Transportation Department hearts are truly sadden by the passing of Mrs. Nichols. Sandy, was a faithful employee and mentor to all she came in contact with. She thrived on touching and encouraging the lives of the many young people she moved to and from various locations. Her dedication to Hampton City Schools, her family, her church, and most importantly God! Showed as she was a beacon of light to us all! Mrs. Nichols, take your eternal rest and thank you for always encouraging and believing in me. May God continue to bless and keep your family during these difficult times! We love you and we will miss you very much!

Sandy was a very special person. She touched many lives and will be sorely missed. I knew her growing up as a teen at Pine Chapel and reconnected with her when she began driving a school bus to Phenix where I taught. I will miss those hugs and waves from the bus as well as her motherly advice. My deepest condolences to Don and the rest of the family. Know that she is rejoicing in heaven today and that we will see her again!
