Sandra Marie Norton, 68, of Sears, MI, passed away peacefully on December 21, 2025. Born February 28, 1959, Sandra was a woman of immense heart and sharp wit, famously claiming she had been "22 for the past 46 years."
Sandra was the heartbeat of her family and shared a "once-in-a-lifetime" love with her husband, Dave Norton; they were truly everything to each other. As a mother, she was the ultimate North Star for her "three girls," Jenny, Jill, and Jan. She was more than their mom; she was their best friend and the greatest mentor they could have asked for, always "finding a way" to lead them with grace, humor, and radical patience.
Sandra dedicated 20 years to teaching English and Special Education at Mecosta-Osceola ISD. Her classroom was a safe haven where every success felt like a team victory, and her gentle influence continues to warmly guide the lives of the many students and staff she mentored and inspired.
She is survived by her husband, Dave; daughters Jenny (Fred) Forbes, Jill (Brian) Derevage, and Jan (Joe) Dart; 7 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; and siblings Terry, Connie, Sue, and Dave.
