Sandra E. Paxton
November 2, 1943 – January 29, 2026
Sandra E. Paxton, 82, of Chesapeake Beach, MD, passed away peacefully on January 29, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of service, family, and devotion. Born in Massachusetts to the late William and Geraldine (Johnson) Frappier, Sandra’s life was defined by her strength of character and her commitment to those she held dear.
In her early years, Sandra proudly served in the United States Air Force. It was during her military service that she met her beloved husband, the late William D. Paxton Jr. Their shared beginning in the Air Force laid the foundation for a dedicated life together.
A lifelong and dedicated member of Forest Memorial United Methodist Church, Sandra volunteered countless hours to her church family. She found great joy in tending to the church's rose garden, hosting monthly senior luncheons, being part of the alter guild, running the thrift store, and preparing the monthly bulletins.
Sandra was the heart of her family. After retiring, one of the highlights of her life was providing daycare for her younger grandchildren in their early years alongside her husband. She was a devoted mother to Michele McWhinney (Ted), Victoria Jackson (Joe), and Shari Demino (Tony), and a loving stepmother to Belinda Richason (Kip) and David Paxton. She was a lover of dogs, often finding companionship and joy in her pets. She enjoyed the excitement of attending her grandchildren’s sports events, playing slot machines and, above all else, cherished every moment spent surrounded by her family.
Sandra was the proud grandmother of AJ, Cass, Neek, Sarah, Shelby, Amber, (the late) Megan, Jason, Jessica, Jeffrey, and Karen. She was expecting a great grandchild (Shiloh) due on February 12, 2026. She is also survived by her sister-in-law Judy Frappier, her niece Kristen Nelson, and nephew Willian Frappier, III.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William D. Paxton Jr., and her brother, William Frappier Jr.
