A Bardstown resident, Mrs. Sandra Louise "Lou" Porter born August 18, 1958, to the late Charles and Emma Lou Scott, passed away Tuesday, November 4, 2025, at Norton Brownsboro Hospital in Louisville. Sandra retired from Heaven Hill Distillery after thirty years of service. She loved word search puzzles, watching her daytime soap operas, and taking daily cruises around town with her husband and family pet, Rex. Sandra was a member of Second Baptist Church Fairfield where she was a member of the senior choir. She is survived by her husband Danny Porter of forty plus years, a son, Daniel "DJ" Porter of Springfield, a daughter, CaSaundra Nikki Porter of Bardstown, two brothers Charles "Junie" Scott,Jr., Terry Wayne (Mary Lou) Scott both of Atlanta, GA, five grandchildren, Korian, Kylie, Auhnyjah, Kyree, Kenedee. A niece Tasha and two nephews Alonzo and Chris, along with a host of cousins, relatives and friends. Funeral services for Mrs. Sandra Louise Scott Porter will be 1:00pm Wednesday, November 12, 2025, at the Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home in Bardstown, Rev. Dr. Calvin Holloway officiating. Visitation will be from 11:00 am until the time of funeral service. Cremation will follow the service. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Houghlin-Greenwell Funeral Home.
