Sandra Adams Prescott, 84, passed away peacefully on February 7, 2024. She was born in Stuart, Florida and grew up in Indiantown, Florida and Pahokee, Florida. Sandra was a long-time resident of Vero Beach, Florida and a member of First United Methodist Church before moving to Tennessee to be near family.
A graduate of Pahokee High School, she worked as a bookkeeper for Phillips Bookkeeping, the Press Journal, and Dole Citrus before retiring. Sandra loved her family and was a true animal lover devoted to her cats and dogs. A talented seamstress, she made the wedding dress and bridesmaid dresses for her wedding and enjoyed making clothes for her family.
Sandra was preceded in death by her loving husband of 57 years, Ray Prescott; parents, Daniel A. Adams and Mary Louise Hepner Adams; brother, John Paul Adams; and sister, Marvel Karen Adams Sloan.
She is survived by her son, Kyle (Julie) Prescott; daughter, Debra (Doug) Prescott; grandchildren, Hannah, Andrew, and Abigail Claire Prescott; brothers, Glenn (Bert) Adams and Terry (Lisa) Adams; and sister, Lois Adams Kinsaul.
The family would like to thank the staff of Morning Pointe of East Hamilton and Gentiva Hospice for the exemplary care they provided Sandra.
A graveside service will be held Friday, February 23, 2024 at 1 pm at the Port Mayaca Cemetery, 23900 SW Kanner Hwy, Canal Point, FL 33438.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to an animal welfare charity of your choice.
