Sandra I. Reed, 87, Jonesboro, passed away at 7:10 pm on Monday, August 18, 2025, at Marion Health. She was born in Huntington, Indiana, on Saturday, June 11, 1938, to Everett and Dorethea (Cole) Sutton. She attended Gas City High School. She loved working jigsaw puzzles, listening to country western music, watching soap operas and westerns. Most of all, she cherished the time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Survivors include her son, Randy Sutton of Jonesboro; daughter, Martha (Steve) Hix of Fort Wayne; granddaughters, Amanda (Tim) Collins of Willow Spring, NC, Hidi (Kyle) Shoemaker of Wabash; many great-grandchildren and many caring cousins.
The family would like to give thanks to all the great caregivers that came to her home, Marion Health, and Lutheran Hospital of Fort Wayne.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Everett F. and Dorethea P. Sutton; and sisters, Sue Ann (Danny) Trosper and Cynthia R. Alters.
A burial and graveside service to honor Sandra's life will begin at 2:00 pm on Friday, August 29, 2025 at Riverside Cemetery in Gas City.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral & Cremation Service, Storey Chapel 400 E. Main St., Gas City, IN.
