Sandra Rhode Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Berth and Rosenthal Funeral Home on Dec. 6, 2025.
Sandra Carole Rhode, affectionately known as Sandi to her friends and family, passed away surrounded by family on December 4, 2025, at the age of 74. Born on July 11, 1951, in Chicago, Illinois, to the late Rudolph and Irene Blagovsek, Sandi was a beacon of light and joy to all who knew her. Her life was a testament to the values of love, friendship, and selflessness that she held dear. Sandi's journey through life was marked by her unwavering commitment to her family. She was the cherished wife of Thomas Rhode for 48 years, a bond that was filled with devotion and mutual respect. She was a loving mother to her daughters, Rebecca (Jeremiah) Gustafson and Rachel (Christopher) Tease. Sandi's role as a grandmother was one, she embraced with all her heart, showering Brendan, Allison, and Jack with love and affection. She also leaves behind her sisters, Regina (Dick) Clayton and Kathleen (Jerry) Walters, sister-in-law Judy (Ted) Wendt and brother-in-law Howard Rhode, and numerous nieces and nephews who will miss her deeply. Educated at Vogy Tech Marinette, Sandi worked for Marinette County, the Peshtigo State Bank, Ariel Beauty Supply Company, and Cheryl's Daycare, but her true calling was to be Mrs. Claus alongside her husband Tom as Santa. While her jobs were important, her most important role was that of mother, wife, and homemaker. Her home was always filled with warmth, laughter, and the smell of her delicious baked goods. Sandi's zest for life was evident in her many interests. She had a beautiful singing voice that she joyfully shared with her church choir, the Menominee River Choir and she was an instructor of the children's chorus at the United Methodist Church in Peshtigo. An avid traveler, Sandi cherished adventures she experienced with her family, especially the memorable trips camping and visiting Disney parks. These moments were treasured opportunities for Sandi to explore the world and create lasting memories with her loved ones. To describe Sandi as loving, friendly, and selfless is to capture the essence of a life well-lived. She had an innate ability to connect with people, making friends wherever she went and stopping to say hello to every baby she saw. Her legacy is one of unconditional love and the countless lives she touched with her generosity and kindness. Sandra Carole Rhode's journey on this earth may have ended, but her spirit lives on in the hearts of those she loved. The family of Sandi Rhode would like to say a special thank you to the ICU staff at Bellin Hospital in Green Bay for their tireless work and compassion.
