David George Goddard, age 75, of Beaver, passed away peacefully on November 21st, surrounded by his family. David was born on August 26, 1950, to Melvin and Lette Belle (Holley) Goddard. He graduated from Coleman High School in 1968 and attended River Falls College for one year before being drafted into the Army. He served his country with honor for 2.5 years. He was stationed in South Korea for 16 months. After his service, David resumed his education at Stevens Point, earning his bachelor's degrees in history and social science in 1977.
David dedicated his professional life to teaching at Wausaukee High School from 1977 to 2005, where he inspired students in history and driver's education. He also owned Mid County Driving School.
Beyond his career, David's passions defined his life. He enjoyed gardening and canning. He owned Beaver Brook Foods and sold his products at local farmers markets. David cherished Wisconsin's outdoors and was an avid hunter which led to many deer hunting stories.
In 1978, David married Susan Huss at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Peshtigo. David and Susan enjoyed camping and traveling, making memories in Ireland, London, and Arizona, their favorite winter retreat. They loved exploring farmers markets in Green Bay, Appleton, and Arizona. He loved sitting around the campfire with his grandchildren, savoring s'mores and stories. David found joy in attending his grandchildren's sporting events and spending time at the cabin.
