Sandra Cathryne Richbourg went to be with her Lord and Savior on March 11,2026. Born on October 10, 1947, Sandra was predeceased by her beloved parents, William (Bill) A. Richbourg and Cathryne Price Richbourg. Also, predeceasing Sandra was her sister, Cynthia Richbourg Bryant.
A charter member of the former St. Giles Presbyterian Church and "Amen Corner," Sandra loved studying the Bible.
Sandra never missed the North Carolina State Fair or a family reunion. She always awaited the beginning of the NFL season, looked forward to the major PGA tournaments, never missed an old movie on television, and adored dogs and birds.
Before retiring in 2013, Sandra received the award from Wake County as the longest-tenured employee: 45 years. She mainly worked in the Child Services Division.
Special thanks go to Sandra's three cousins: J. Phillip Price, Barbara Price Whiteway, and Mark Bowers. In addition, special gratitude goes to her former neighbors, Joanne and Burks Crumpler and her friends and staff at Brighton Gardens of Raleigh. Additionally, Sandra was so thankful for the attentive care she received from the staff at Fresenius Kidney Care, Central-especially Gene, Kit, Pam, Jackie, Georgia, and Dr. Jain. Also, the staff at Transitions LifeCare are to be commended for their kind, special, and gentle support. Finally, a special thank you goes to Oak City Taxi for their dependability regarding transportation to Sandra's dialysis center.
