Sandra Kay Rodriguez, affectionately known as Sandie to all who knew her, embarked on her final journey on December 8, 2025, in
San Antonio, TX, after a valiant battle with medical complications. Born on December 7, 1966, in
Waco, TX, Sandie's radiant spirit was a gift to this world for 59 remarkable years.
Sandie's life was a testament to the power of love, devotion, and family. She shared an unbreakable bond with her beloved husband, Mike Rodriguez-a partnership filled with strength, laughter, and unwavering support. Together, they raised a family rooted in warmth and connection, including their son Miguel Rodriguez and his wife Tiffany, and their daughter Marianna Rodriguez. Sandie cherished her role as a mother, but becoming a grandmother brought her immeasurable joy. Olivia and Nicolas Rodriguez were the true lights of her life, and she loved them with a devotion that knew no limits.
Her love for her grandchildren was extraordinary and beautifully lived. Sandie would drive two hours without hesitation to help care for them when they were sick, never once allowing distance or inconvenience to stand in her way. Her life was full of vibrant interests: she could always be found in the stands of football games, golf tournaments, and tee-ball games, no matter the distance. She loved supporting her children and grandchildren in every way, including proudly serving as the "Cookie Mom" for Marianna's Girl Scout troop-a role she embraced with the same enthusiasm and dedication she brought to everything she did. Her garden was her peaceful haven, and her love of crime shows and reading provided her treasured moments of quiet.

She was the gentle guardian of her family-the one who shielded her children and grandchildren with a fierce, tender love, especially whenever Mike's playful teasing went a little too far.
