Sandra Sorrells Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Sacred Funeral Home on Jun. 5, 2025.
In loving memory of Sandra Kaye Sorrells, who departed this earthly life on Monday, June 2, 2025. Sandra was a remarkable woman who touched the lives of many during her time with us. Born on April 24, 1958, in Shreveport, LA, Sandra was a beloved daughter of Claude Odum Sr. and Gussie B. Odum. She accepted Christ at an early age, and was a faithful member of The Exciting Singing Hills Baptist Church until her health failed. She dedicated her life to God and her family.
Sandra received her formal education from DISD. After graduating from Wilmer Hutchins High School in 1976, she pursued her education at Mountain View College. She worked at Sweetheart Cup where she met the love of her life, Inester "ToTo" Sorrells, III. She later became an employee with the United States Postal Service for 36 years, where she retired in December 2020.
Sandra loved to play dominoes, cards, and enjoyed watching game shows. Her warm spirit will forever remain in our hearts.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Claude Odum Sr. and Gussie B. Odum. Precious memories remain with her loving husband, Inester "ToTo" Sorrells III; her children, Vincent Odum, Tashawna Sorrells, April Sorrells, and Chase Sorrells; and a legacy of 10 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Additionally, she leaves behind her siblings, Jeanette Austin (Henry), Janie Mae Scroggins, Linda Runnels, Doris Hunter (Glenn), and Claude Odum Jr. (Shonda), along with many other cherished nephews, nieces, cousins, church members, and friends.
