Sandra Sowder, 77, of Nixa Missouri died Sunday, April 16 after a brief illness.
Sandra, better known as Sandy, was born to Homer and Margaret Agee on March 11, 1946 in Springfield Missouri. She was the youngest of their 11 children.
Sandy loved to spend her days with as many of her grandchildren and great grandchildren as she could. Her home was never without the noise of her precious kids to whom she meant the world. They will miss her so much. She followed in her mom, Grandma Agee, footsteps of being the grandma whose house you went to and the place to come or the person to call for her dozens of nieces and nephews and all who affectionately called her Aunt Sandy.
Sandy is survived by her husband of 57 years, Calvin. Two sons, Jeff (Marie) and Craig. Five grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her daughter, Shelley as well as her parents and siblings.
Services for Sandy will be held at Meador Funeral Home in Republic Missouri. Visitation will be 10:00 O'clock on Tuesday April 25 with a funeral to follow at 11. A private family graveside service will follow.
Sandy asked to be buried beside her best friend and daughter, Shelley Sowder at Wade Chapel Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers the family has asked that donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
