Carla Sowder Obituary
She had been a member of West View Baptist Church in Frankfort, Kentucky.
She was a loving grandmother who enjoyed spending most of her spare time taking care of her grandkids.
Carla was preceded in death by her husband, Tim Sowder.
She is survived by her sons, Alex Franklin, Andrew Franklin (Kim), Aaron Franklin all of Mt. Eden; her step-daughter, Kontrina Tinsley (Billy); her step-sons, Jon Sowder (Megan), Micheal Sowder (Sarah); her grandchildren, Colton, Addilynn, Grayson, Karson, Kenzie, Avery, Ashton, Aceson, Parker, Payton, Ezra, & Ellie; her mother, Patricia Mayes; her siblings, Karen Brady, Daren Mayes, & Bo Mayes; her mother & father-in-law, Ronnie & Joyce Sowder; her sister-in-law, Beverly Burba (Bobby).
Funeral Services will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, December 13, 2025, at the Shannon Funeral Home in Shelbyville, Kentucky. A visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. Burial at Grove Hill Cemetery.
Expressions of sympathy may be towards the funeral expenses.
