Sandra Lee Splett "Sandy" was born in Evanston, Illinois as the 4th child of Howard Eugene Splett and Rose Mary Splett.

As the only girl of the 6 children, Sandy spent the most time with her mother Rose Mary. She was in essence a secondary mother figure to her 2 much younger brothers and a true matriarch of the entire family as the years passed on.

Sandy was an accomplished retail mastermind and held high level management positions in her early 20's & 30's for many successful companies. She met and fell in love with her life partner Mr. Tony Durano and a match made in heaven was transferred here to Earth.

She is survived by her partner Tony Durano and their decades together were a true testimony of marital happiness to those who knew them. Sandy is also survived by 4 additional brothers: Howie Jr., Bob, Mike and Karl while joining her 1 previously deceased brother John on their eternal journey.

Sandy had a true passion to help people, a quality she carried on from her mother's upbringing. She was fun loving, caring, deeply loyal and committed to her family and friends and the type of person we would all wish to truly be like.

Through many years of disability Sandy carried on her mission pouring out love and care while quietly and privately suffering from chronic pains and physical ailments that ultimately took her away from all of us. Sandy was an amazing problem solver and with her passion to help anyone who asked for help, she assisted all of her family and friends as a sounding board of reason, hope and possibility.

Sandy was a true fighter and never backed down from a challenging situation. She was responsible for thousands of easy peaceful days provided through her undying love, generosity and help for her family and friends.

The world lost a true angel when God relieved Sandy's pain and called his valentines baby girl home, All of us who were blessed to know her and have her share in our life's journey will miss her dearly and always remember special times and how she filled our cups with unconditional love.

Sandy we love you and will miss you dearly until our path's cross again. Thank you Sandy.
