Sandra "Sandy" Stewart (née Hare), born on April 8, 1940, the youngest of nine, in Buffalo, New
York, passed away peacefully on January 20, 2026, in Zephyrhills, Florida. She was 85 years
old.
Sandy had strongly supported agricultural life alongside her husband, Doyle, as they raised beef
cattle and ran a feed and tack store. She later dedicated her life to caring for others, both
professionally and personally. She earned multiple certifications in the field of nursing
assistance, including a Certificate of Achievement as a Nursing Assistant and Home Health
Aide from the Department of Education. She also completed an HRS Certificate of Attendance
for Nursing Aid Inservice. Her commitment to agriculture and caregiving extended beyond her
career and into every aspect of her life.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Doyle C. Stewart. Together they built a
family that brought Sandy immense pride and joy throughout her life.
She is lovingly remembered by her children: Tammy Barthle and her husband Mark; Steve
Stewart and his wife Kelly; and Allan Stewart. Sandy's legacy continues through her
grandchildren-Molly Courtney (Daniel), Megan Herrera (Joey), Beth Le (Jensen), Rachel Butler
(Danny), Jacob Stewart, and Kimmie Felder (Jakiah)-and great-grandchildren Clay and Case
Courtney, JoeJoe and Oliver Herrera, and Raegan and JJ Le.
Sandy found great happiness in the simple pleasures of life. She enjoyed bowling with her
husband and gardening, often tending to her cherished pineapple plants with care. Her love for
animals was evident in the special bond she shared with her dog Gator. In recent years, she
embraced social media as a way to stay connected with loved ones near and far.
Above all else, Sandy treasured time spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Whether sharing stories or simply enjoying their company, these moments were among her
most cherished.
May Sandra Stewart's memory bring comfort to those who knew and loved her.
