Sandra Sulouff Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Joseph W. Epler Funeral Home on Mar. 26, 2026.
Sandra Kay "Sandy" Sulouff, 78, of Northumberland, passed away peacefully on March 22, 2026.
Born on Nov. 18, 1947, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Beatrice (Yocum) McMichael.
Sandy was reunited in eternal life with her beloved husband, Roy T. Sulouff, who preceded her in death on Nov. 17, 2020. The two were married on Oct. 1, 1964, and shared many devoted years together. Her family fondly recalls that at the moment of her passing, her sister Peggy heard a loud "boom" outside and knew Sandy had entered through the Pearly Gates and was reunited with Roy.
Sandy lived a life of service, dedication, and community involvement. She served as Judge of Elections for Point Township and was a member of the Point Township Fire Police. She was also a devoted leader of the Pineknotter 4-H Club and helped start the Northumberland Rescue Squad. Over the years, she worked at Furman's Foods and the Village Ice Cream Parlor, and also served on the Point Township Sewer Board.
She found great joy in life's simple pleasures - sitting on her deck on warm days, relaxing fireside at her daughter's home, and attending craft shows with her daughters and granddaughter, Erin. In earlier years, she enjoyed hunting with her family. Sandy and Roy were well known in the community, often seen walking during local events such as Pineknotter Days in King Street Park, where they volunteered their time helping direct traffic at parades and accidents.
She is survived by her loving children: Robert N. (Sandra E.) Sulouff; Christine (Terry) Oakes and Althea Sulouff. She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren: Robert T. (Lauren) Sulouff, Jennifer (Mike) Knier, Lucas Sulouff, Erin (James) Richard, and Adam Oakes; great-grandchildren: Rowan T. and Karina L. Sulouff, and her siblings: Roger McMichael and Peggy Appleman.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brother, Charles McMichael.
Sandy will be remembered for her kindness, her dedication to her family and community, and the many lives she touched throughout the years.
A visitation will be held Monday, March 30, from 9:30 to 11 a.m. at the Joseph W. Epler Funeral Home, 210 King Street, Northumberland with a memorial service at 11.

Interment will follow in Riverview Cemetery, Northumberland.
