Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, December 26, 2024 at Central Baptist Church. Dr. Jerry Gill and Rev. Mike Taylor will officiate. The family will receive friends at the church following the service.
Born on April 26, 1938 in Gainesville, she was a daughter of the late Elmer and Willie Beatrice Forrest Twitty. Mrs. Taylor was a 1956 graduate of Gainesville High School. She was retired from the hair dressing industry and was the owner of Stone Mountain Beauty Shop. She was a member of Central Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Taylor was preceded in death by her husband, James M. Taylor and sisters, Mrs. Gloria Twitty Baxter, Mrs. Gayle Twitty Gill and Ms. Deborah Twitty Sosebee.
Mrs. Taylor is survived by a number of nieces and nephews, Dr. David Baxter of Savannah, Carol Baxter Kirby of Atlanta, Lori Gill Shoaf of Clermont, Matthew Wayne Sosebee of Petal, MS, Jonathan David Sosebee of Toccoa, Susan Taylor of Stone Mountain, Caroline Taylor of Atlanta, and a number of great nieces and great nephews and other loving relatives.
Memorial Park Funeral Home, 2030 Memorial Park Rd., Gainesville, Ga. 30504 is in charge of the arrangements.
