Cramerton, Sandra “Sandy” Robinson Ware, 76, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 9, 2022 at CaroMont Regional Medical Center with her loving family by her side. Sandy was born on September 21, 1945 and is the daughter of the late Russell and Marion Tyser Robinson. She was preceded in death by her husband of 34 years, Douglas Jennings Ware.
Sandy was a graduate of Rock Springs High School and Gardner-Webb University with a degree in Education. Sandy was an Accountant with Pace Tax &Accounting, Inc. until her retirement. Sandy served as Cramerton Town Commissioner for several years. She loved her time she spent as a Town Commissioner because she truly loved Cramerton and the residents of Cramerton. She was Past President of South Point Life Saving Crew and is a member of Cramer Memorial United Methodist Church. Sandy was a loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother and friend to all. She will truly be missed by her loving family, friends and the Town of Cramerton.
Sandy is survived by two loving daughters, Beth Westmoreland and fiancé, Scott Hubbard, Kelli Smith and husband Joe; grandchildren, whom she adored, Dustin Smith, Josh Smith; great granddaughter, whom she adored, Amelia Smith; special nephew and his wife, Mark Scott and Tracy; special friend, Gabriel Yuhas and we cannot forget her dog, Emmett Smith.
The family will receive family and friends from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Saturday, August 13, 2022 at Withers and Whisenant Funeral Home with a Celebration of Life Memorial Service to follow at 2:00 p.m. Saturday in the Chapel of Withers and Whisenant Funeral Home with Dr. David B. Julen and Rev. Jordan Braswell officiating.
The Family has requested that: * Everyone attending the Funeral for Sandy, please wear Purple*
Inurnment will be private for the family.
Sandy was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 34 years, Douglas Jennings Ware; Sister, Beverly Scott; step-brother, Tommy Berry.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are requested to be made to: National Kidney Foundation, 30 East 33rd Street, New York, NY 10016 or St. Jude’s’s Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude’s Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
