MORTON – Sandra H. “Sandy” Webb, 83, of Morton, passed away Sunday, January 28, 2024, at Carle Health Methodist in Peoria. 

She was born on June 27, 1940, in Decatur, Ill., to Virgil and Thelma (Chestek) Helgen. Sandy married Jolyon “Jolly” Webb on August 29, 1959, in Mackinaw. 

Sandy will be missed by her husband, Jolly of Morton; daughters, Tahdra (Jeff) Teel and Lyndra Webb, both of Morton; grandchildren, Jason (Amanda) Teel and Isaac (Jennifer) Teel; great grandchildren, Parker Jolyon Teel and Alexander Rowan Teel; and sister, Linda (Don) Woolsey. 

She was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Mildred “Millie” Alene Teel and siblings, Janet Vogel, Georgia Eshelman and David Helgen. 

Sandy taught home economics, reading and dancing. She loved hosting monthly family dinners and traveling to the mountains. 

A private family service will be held at Community United Church of Christ in Morton. Burial will be at Buckeye Cemetery in Morton. 

Memorials may be made to Illinois CancerCare in Peoria.

Knapp-Johnson Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Morton is handling arrangements.
