Sandra Lee Wheeler

Sandra Lee Wheeler, 80, of Inman, passed away on Friday morning, February 7, 2025, at her residence. She was born on April 13, 1944, in Spartanburg, SC, a daughter of the late Thomas Leroy Duffie and Lillie Mae Tesner. Sandra was married to the late Jesse Kenneth Wheeler who passed away in 1992. 

Sandra was a member of Fingerville Baptist Church. She received a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from the University of South Carolina-Spartanburg. She retired from Spartanburg Regional Medical Center after 34 years of service. In retirement, Sandra volunteered as a school nurse in Spartanburg School District 2 for several years. 

Surviving are two sons, Kenneth Cale Wheeler (Tara) of Spartanburg and Corey Dale Wheeler (Angela) of Boiling Springs; and 4 grandchildren, Ollie and Tinsley Wheeler and Noah and Matthew Wheeler. 

The family will receive friends from 6:00-7:30 p.m. Wednesday, February 12, 2025, at Floyd’s Greenlawn Chapel, 2075 East Main Street, Spartanburg, SC 29307. A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, February 13, 2025, at Floyd’s Greenlawn Chapel, conducted by the Rev. Andy Case. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, 1300 Fernwood-Glendale Road, Spartanburg, SC 29307. 

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Spartanburg Humane Society, 150 Dexter Road, Spartanburg, SC 29303 or to the Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home, PO Box 2624, Spartanburg, SC 29304.
