Sandra Marie Wilking (nee Paiser)
Sandra Marie Wilking, age 83, passed away Saturday Jan. 4 in
Milwaukee, Wi. Sandy was born on Aug. 3rd, 1941 in Shawano, Wis to Melvin A. Paiser and Leona E. (Schweitzer) Paiser and brought up on a farm in the town of Seneca. She graduated from Marion High School with the class of 1959. While at school in Madison she met David Wilking and in 1960 they were married while Dave was based at Camp LeJeune in North Carolina where they lived until his discharge.
Sandra and David enjoyed traveling together throughout their lives, going all over from Florida to Japan. They spent all their time together, making sure they went out to lunch daily as a part of their routine. They were heavily involved in their church as well. She enjoyed planting flowers around the house and watching the birds at the bird feeder within her garden.
In 1990, Sandy suffered a brain aneurism with multiple complications and TBI and dealt with the aftereffects for the past 35 years. Nevertheless, she just kept putting one foot in front of the other and continued moving along in her wheelchair. Sandy was a beautician and secretary at church, and she loved her family as best that she could manage.
Her and Dave had a daughter, grandson and three great-granddaughters. David preceded her in death in March of 2018.
Sandy was also preceded in death by her parents Melvin and Leona, her mother and father-in-law Werner and Jean Wilking, brother-in law Werner Jr., and many aunts, uncles and friends.
Sandy is survived by her daughter Kim Marie Wilking, grandson Jeremy Wilking, and great-granddaughters Samantha, Lindsey, and Kayla, her brother Michael Paiser, sister-in-law Cinda L. Paiser, and nephews Chad J. Paiser and Rick Wilking.
A private family gathering will be held at a later date.
Sandra will be laid to rest by her loving husband in Wisconsin Memorial Cemetary,
Milwaukee, Wi., along with a rose and some chocolates. Lord knows how Dave spoiled Sandy and what a challenge it was for those of us after his passing! Sandy was a feisty Bohemian and all of Heaven will know that she has arrived. It's been a long wait but "no more wheelchair" so she's dancing with the angels.
