Sandra Marie Williams

Born January 17, 1937 in Junction City, KS to Ralph and Marie Hayes.

Sandra lived life to its fullest and passed peacefully surrounded by family on April 2, 2025.

Sandra grew up in Kansas City’s Northeast area and attended Glennon High School. She was first married in 1954 and brought six sons and a daughter into the world.

She remained in the Northeast area and raised her 7 children as a single Mother.

She was then blessed in 1975, and met the true love of her life, Larry Williams. Another son and three daughters were added to the family.

Larry and Sandra kept the family together with the infamous Fall Fling and Christmas Eve celebrations.

Larry and Sandra later moved to Eskridge, Kansas. Always active in her community and having four sons as Veterans, Sandy began and continued to coordinate the Veteran’s Day Parade in Eskridge. Sandra was also responsible for creating the Veteran’s Wall in Eskridge. Larry’s quiet guidance and support was always there for her endeavors. They created a terrific team.

Throughout her life there was always lots of laughter, music, and dancing like no one was watching.

She was the true Matriarch of the family and the best Mom ever. The grandkids remember that grandma Sandy always gave the best hugs.

Sandra was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Marie, Baby Boy Hayes, sister Donna Rum, brother in-laws, Bill Bass and Pascual Rum, and her beloved son Jim Golden.

She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Larry. Brothers Ralph (Jo), Glenn (Stephanie), Paul (Cathy), sisters Janice, Ruby (Dennis), Linda (Bobby). Sons, Don (Karen), Dennis (Andrea), Gary (Nancy), John (Beth), Tom, and Larry J, Daughter-law Jean (Jim), daughters Teresa, Laurie (David), Jennifer (Bill), and Renae (Chafic). Thirty -five grand-children and thirty-two great grandchildren.

Sandy’s legacy will unquestionably continue.
