Sandra "Sandy" Lambertson Wilson, a cherished wife, educator, and passionate advocate for the voiceless, passed away peacefully on July 12, 2025, in Greenville, SC. Born on January 27, 1952, in Chicopee, MA, Sandy was a beacon of love and wisdom throughout her 73 years of life.
Sandy's journey began as the beloved daughter of Col. Norman "Hank" Lambertson and Marguerite Belote Lambertson, who predeceased her, as did her sister, Karen Lambertson Wright. She is survived by her devoted husband, Jef Wilson, and her cousin, Jan Belote, who will continue to honor her legacy.
Sandy's academic pursuits led her to earn a Master's degree in Speech Pathology, a field where she would leave an indelible mark. For 31 years, she dedicated herself to the Houston school system as a speech and language pathologist and teacher, touching the lives of countless students and colleagues with her wisdom and courage.
Beyond her professional achievements, Sandy was known for her vibrant interests and hobbies. An avid photographer, her pro-quality shots captured the beauty of nature, from delicate butterflies to majestic mountain ranges. Her love for animals was not only evident in her photography but also in her active involvement in pro-animal groups, where she worked tirelessly to make a difference.
Sandy's appreciation for the arts extended to architecture and literature, with her home being a testament to her exquisite taste and the vast collection of books she treasured.
