Sandy Andrews Obituary
May 6, 1948 - October 19, 2024
Sandy L. Andrews, age 76, of Council Bluffs, passed away October 19, 2024, in Papillion, NE. Sandy was born May 6, 1948, in Council Bluffs, to the late Josh and Frances (Hisel) Andrews. He graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School and proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Conflict. Sandy owned and operated Andrews Drywall Co. In addition to his parents, Sandy was preceded in death by his wife, Kathy (Osborn) Andrews in 2022; brother, James Andrews; sisters, Pamela Andrews, Rose Andrews, and Mary Hiers. Sandy is survived by his sons, Josh (Amy) Andrews of Council Bluffs, Jeff (Chandra) Andrews of Delmar, NY; four grandchildren, Sadie, Griffin, Phoenix, and Odin; brother, Mark (Voni) Andrews of Council Bluffs; sister, JoAnn (Dan) Weinert of Omaha; nieces and nephews.
Memorial service, Tuesday, October 29, 2024, at 11 a.m., at Cutler-O'Neill-Meyer-Woodring Bayliss Park Chapel. Inurnment in Memorial Park Cemetery with military rites tendered by the Kanesville Honor Guard. A lunch will follow at the Walnut Hill Reception Center, 1350 E. Pierce St. Visitation with the family, one hour prior to the service on Tuesday at the funeral home. The family will direct memorial contributions.

I am so sad to hear of the loss of Sandy. He always told a story of a job site occurrence that he always told people when he saw me. He will be dearly missed but he will have his brother Jim to keep everyone on their toes up in heavan.

Met sandy at the VA and spent time visiting with him while waiting and he always made you laugh. So sorry for your loss to all of the Andrews family. Thank you for your service Sandy and rest in peace
