Funeral service for Sandy Camp will be held 1pm Wednesday, June 25, 2025 at Glencoe Hokes Bluff Funeral Home. Rev. Whitt Hibbs and Rev. Chip Smith will be officiating the service. The family will receive friends from 12pm until time of service. Burial will be at Hillcrest Cemetery.
Ms. Camp passed away on Sunday, June 22, 2025 in Gadsden at Riverview Regional Medical Center.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Alvis and Barbara Camp; grandparents, AP and Clara Sherrill. And Emanuel and Irena Camp.
Left to cherish her memory are her sister, Anita (Dale) Weaver; brother, Mark (Cindy) Camp; nephew, Alan Harper; aunt, Jan (Marrell) Dixon; uncle, Pat (Kathy) Sherrill; and many wonderful cousins and friends.
Sandy attended school in Etowah County and Boaz. Sandy was a special person who loved life, family, friends, and Jesus. She attended East Centre Baptist Church and Cherokee County Training Center. Her presence would light up a room; laughter surrounded her because she was so funny and fun loving. Her life carried her from Sand Mountain to Gadsden and then Centre. She never met a stranger. Fun to her was any gathering, going out to eat, shopping at Walmart, and talking to family and friends. She was a social butterfly and loved everyone. Heaven truly received a special angel when she walked through those gates happy and healed.
Pallbearers will be Marty Dixon, Butch Dixon, Pat Sherrill, Alan Harper, Kirk Segars, and Bryan Miller.
Special thanks to Riverview's CCU, her doctors, and the staff of the Cherokee County Training Center.
Online condolences may be left to the family at: ghbfuneralhome.com.
