Sandy Dee Fontan, beloved resident of Meridian, Mississippi, passed away on January 31, 2024. Born on September 2, 1959, Sandy fought a tough battle with cancer and can now rest in her heavenly home.
She is survived by her son Jamie Fontan and his wife Emily Fontan of Thomasville, Alabama. Her grandchildren, Ryan Fontan and Alaina Fontan. Siblings: Kim Bowman of Brookhaven, MS; Shone Powell of Brandon, MS, Thomas Powell of Meridian, MS and numerous nieces and nephews. Sandy also leaves behind her special long time friend Debra Neal and dog Maggie.
Sandy was predeceased parents, Harold and Wyvonne Powell.
A Graveside Service honoring Sandy's life will be held on February 2, 2024, at Oak Grove Cemetery in Meridian. The service will commence at 10:00 AM and conclude at 10:30 AM. Family and friends are invited to gather and remember her.
Pallbearers will be: Kyle Etheridge, Kenny Neal, David Carr, Jason Carr, Luke Jay, Dave Carr, and honorary pallbearer Ryan Fontan.
