Sandy Martynowski

Sandy Martynowski (nee Kern) passed away peacefully on February 2, 2026 in Strongsville, Ohio, at the age of 66. Born on December 6, 1959, in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, Sandy was a cherished soul who brought joy and warmth to all who knew her.

Sandy's life was a testament to the power of love and family. She was the beloved wife of the late Vince Martynowski, with whom she shared 39 years of marriage. Together, they built a life full of laughter and love. Sandy was a loving mother to Jamie (Frederick), Thomas, and John Martynowski, guiding them with her wisdom and nurturing spirit. Her role as a grandmother to Kyle, Ezmirelda, and Frederick Jr was one she cherished deeply, showering them with affection and creating memories that will be treasured forever.

The daughter of the late Mary Lou and Richard Kern. She was a dear sister to Judith Schmidt, Patricia Maphis, Angeline McConnell, and the late Jacqueline Kern. Sandy was an aunt to nieces and nephews, Nikki, Chrissy, Michael, and Connor.

Sandy's love extended beyond her family to her beloved pets, her dog Callie and her cat Piper. They were her constant companions, and she cared for them with the same tenderness she showed to her family and friends.

Sandy was a wonderful cook and baker. Gardening, crafting, knitting, puzzling, reading, traveling, and playing board games were among the many interests that Sandy enjoyed.

Sandy's passing leaves a void in the hearts of those who loved her, but her legacy of love, compassion, and kindness will live on. She was a guiding light in the lives of many, and her memory will continue to inspire us all. Sandy will be deeply missed, but her spirit will forever be a part of the lives she touched.
