Sandy Silverthorne

Sandy Silverthorne, 67, a resident of Washington, NC, passed away at home on February 7, 2025, surrounded by friends and family. Born on May 13, 1957, in Washington, NC, Sandy brought warmth and joy to everyone who knew her.
She was a devoted wife to Turner Silverthorne. Her nurturing spirit extended beyond her immediate family to include countless others who were touched by her kindness.
Sandy had a passion for gardening, where she found solace and beauty in nature's blooms. She cherished moments spent gathering with friends and celebrating life, always bringing laughter and love to those around her. Her greatest joy came from spending time with her family, creating memories that will be treasured forever.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Margaret Dudley; her brothers: Willie Beacham, J.R. Bunting, Bernice Bunting, and Bruce Bunting; sisters Joyce Tetterton, Jean Stinson, and her special nephew, Cameron Squires.
Sandy is survived by her son David Muse, niece Michelle Hardy, sisters Mavis Carwile (Warren) and Linda Squires (Fred). Her special niece, Ashley Hardy, also holds her memory close, along with many nieces and nephew that she loved dearly
Family and friends are invited to remember Sandy during a visitation on Saturday, February 15, 2025, from 2:00 to 4:00 PM. Sandy's legacy of love and her zest for life will continue to inspire all who knew her, and she will be deeply missed.
