Sandy Weidner - Middleton, age 51 of
Watertown, SD passed away Friday April 18, 2025 in Watertown.
Funeral service will be held at 10:30am Wednesday, April 23, 2025 at the First United Methodist Church in Watertown.
Visitation (please note location) will be from 4 - 7pm on Tuesday, April 22, 2025 at the First United Methodist Church in Watertown.
Interment will be at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Watertown.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the First United Methodist Church in Watertown.
Sandra "Sandy" Lee Weidner - Middleton, was born in Winner, South Dakota on May 11, 1973 to Milton and Joyce Weidner. Sandy grew up on a farm south of Colome, South Dakota, where she helped her dad with chores. She attended grade school in Colome, then transferred to finish her schooling in Winner graduating in 1991.
In 1992 she moved to Pierre where she started working at Coast to Coast Hardware where she met Randy Middleton. She enjoyed her time working with all the customers and coworkers. In 1993 she welcomed her son, Jordon Christopher. In 1994 she moved to Yankton to pursue schooling at USD. Sandy then moved back to Pierre in 1996 where she welcomed a son, Zachary Milton. In 1999 she welcomed a daughter, Madison Maren. In 2000 Randy and Sandy began a relationship and moved to
Watertown, South Dakota. Sandy was a stay at home mom for many years. In 2008 Randy and Sandy welcomed a daughter, Cadence "Cady" Marie. In 2012 they welcomed a son, Camden Alexander. On January 18, 2018 Randy and Sandy were married at First United Methodist Church.
In 2014 Sandy began working at First United Methodist Church as a nursery coordinator. She built multiple relationships with the parents, children and coworkers. Later on she became the children's ministry coordinator with Lori Keizer. In 2017 when her son Camden went to Kindergarten she found her calling and began a career working for the Watertown School District as a Paraprofessional at Lincoln Elementary School. She worked with some of the most wonderful people and loved working everyday with the kids, putting a smile on their faces. She especially enjoyed welcoming the kids to school every morning in the entryway giving them high fives. She worked at Lincoln for 8 years until her health started declining.
She is survived by her husband, Randy Middleton,
Watertown, South Dakota; Her children, Jordon (Brittany) Weidner, Florence, South Dakota, Zachary Weidner, Winner, South Dakota, Madison (Trey) Weidner, Gregory, South Dakota and Cady and Camden Weidner,
Watertown, South Dakota; Her Grandkids, Memphis Weidner, Kensley and Jackson Bingen, and Ezra Kraft; along with her mother, Joyce Weidner, Winner, South Dakota; sisters, Kathern (Norm) Hotz, Marian, Kentucky and Karen (Mike) Pochop, Yankton, South Dakota; and also her nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her father, Milton Weidner; infant sister, Michelle Weidner; paternal grandparents, Reinhold and Christina Weidner; and maternal grandparents, George and Myrtle Woltoff.
