Sanjaykumar Jayantilal Patel, 55, of Madison, Mississippi, passed away on March 9, 2026. Born on November 7, 1970, in Bardoli (Ruva), India, Sanjay lived a life defined by generosity, dedication to family, and kindness toward everyone he met.

Sanjay earned his Bachelor's degree in Business Commerce from South Gujarat University. Through his work and his relationships, he was known as a hardworking and caring individual who always put others before himself. He carried forward the values instilled in him by his late father, Jayantilal Patel-values of integrity, compassion, and devotion to family-which guided the way he lived his life and treated those around him.

Above all, Sanjay cherished time with his family. He loved bringing people together through food. In the community, he was well known cooking excellent Indian cuisine. He found joy in taking care of his garden, going on walks, and spending evenings watching Indian Idol with his wife. Through the show, he expressed his deep love for music and especially enjoyed singing along to classic songs from the 1970s. He also enjoyed playing poker with friends and was passionate about cricket and volleyball, both watching and playing whenever he could. He leaves behind a legacy of curiosity, always wanting to know what was going on in the world and stories from history. His constant desire to learn made conversations with him thoughtful and engaging.

Sanjay is survived by his loving wife, Kajal Patel; his two daughters, Diya Patel and Priya Patel; his mother, Niruben Patel; his brother, Rajubhai Patel; and his sister, Ritaben Patel. He was a devoted husband, father, son, and brother whose presence brought warmth and strength to those around him.

Even in passing, Sanjay's compassion continues to impact the world. Through organ and tissue donation, he saved 3 lives and will help as many as 75 people, leaving behind a powerful legacy of generosity and hope.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 12, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Natchez Trace Funeral Home.

Sanjay will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. His memory will live on through the lives he touched and the love he shared.
